Ocean State Job Lot Partners with Local Veterans Organizations to Distribute Winter Coats and Food to Veterans and Families in Need in Lewiston

WHAT:
Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), a leading discount closeout retailer headquartered in Rhode Island with stores throughout New England, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, in coordination with Bookwell Travel and Project Freedom Villages, will deliver nearly 700 winter coats and 2,000 pounds of food to local families and veterans in need on Wednesday, November 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Lewiston, Maine.

The winter coat donations are part of Ocean State Job Lot’s Buy-Give-Get program, which is happening now through January 3, 2024. The Buy-Give-Get program encourages customers to buy a quality, brand-name men’s, or women’s winter coat for $40.00 (retail value at $120.00 or more) and give it back to the store for donation to a veteran. In appreciation of the donation, customers get a $40.00 Crazy Deal Gift Card to be used for a future purchase at Ocean State Job Lot, effectively allowing customers to donate winter coats for free.

Nearly 250,000 winter coats have been donated to veterans in need since the inception of the program.
