Ocean State Job Lot Celebrates Grand Opening of Mechanicsburg Store
OSJL marks opening of 10th store in Pennsylvania with activities and giveaways for shoppers
North Kingstown, Rhode Island – (December 2, 2023) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) today celebrated the grand opening of its 10th store in Pennsylvania, located in Silver Spring Commons at 6520 Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg. The Mechanicsburg OSJL occupies a 31,939 sq. ft. space within the plaza, which was formerly home to a Marshalls and has been vacant since early 2021.
The event began with a ribbon cutting ceremony and speaking program featuring local elected officials from Silver Spring Township, including Township Manager Raymond Palmer and Assistant Township Manager Cheryl Neidig, U.S. Congressman Scott Perry, and Kaytee Isley representing Senator Greg Rothman, among others.
As part of the celebration, OSJL presented a donation of one pallet of food to New Hope Ministries through its Close to Our Heart program and donated 120 coats to the Cumberland County VA Clinic through the “Buy Give Get” program to provide warm winter coats for veterans in need.
Shoppers were treated to free pictures with Santa, face painting, a live broadcast from Wink 104, live holiday music performed by local musician Kirk Wise, and more. In addition, customers who signed up to become a Job Lot Insider, a free loyalty-rewards program, and spent $5.00 or more in a single transaction were able to choose one of six items with a comparable retail value of $15.00 to $29.00 to take home for free. The offer extends through Sunday, December 3rd.
