Ocean State Job Lot Celebrates Grand Opening of Avon, MA Store
Grand opening festivities continue with family-friendly activities and giveaways on Saturday, November 23rd
North Kingstown, RI – (November 20, 2024) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) is pleased to announce the opening of its 52nd store in Massachusetts, located at 15 Stockwell Drive in Avon. The newest OSJL location breathes new life into the former Christmas Tree Shops space, offering 36,000 square feet of revitalized retail space and creating new job opportunities for the community.
Today, OSJL hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and speaking program to celebrate the grand opening of its Avon store, featuring local elected officials including: State Senator Michael Brady and select board member Jay Suzorl; Mike Vescera, OSJL District Team Leader; and Colleen Howard, OSJL Avon Store Team Leader.
As part of its commitment to the communities in which it does business, the OSJL Charitable Foundation donated 50 warm winter coats to the VFW Post 8892 in Avon to help underserved veterans and their families stay warm during the colder months.
On Saturday, November 23rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., OSJL will continue the grand opening festivities with photos with Santa, complimentary coffee and donuts, and henna temporary tattoos and face painting for children. Guests who are Job Lot Insiders that make a purchase during the event will also have the opportunity to win giveaway items valued at over $1,000. DJs from Magic 106.7 will be on-site from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with music and giveaways.
