Ocean State Job Lot Opens New Store in Augusta, ME

Elected Officials, OSJL Representatives & Cruisin’ 93.5 Mark the Opening of the State’s Eighth Store; First in Kennebec County     

Augusta, ME – (December 7, 2024) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) is pleased to announce the opening of its eighth store in Maine, its first in Kennebec County, at 42 Whitten Road in Augusta in the former Christmas Tree Shops space. The new store offers more than 34,000 square feet of retail shopping space and new job opportunities for the community.

OSJL marked the occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Mark O’Brien, Mayor, City of Augusta, and Ocean State Job Lot personnel.

As part of its commitment to the communities in which it does business, the OSJL Charitable Foundation donated 50 warm winter coats to American Legion Fitzgerald-Cummings Post 2 in Augusta.

The grand opening festivities also included complimentary caricatures from a local artist and photos with Santa. Job Lot Insiders that made a purchase during the event also had the opportunity to win three giveaway items valued at over $400. DJs from Cruisin’ 93.5 were on-hand for a live broadcast and giveaways.

OSJL opened new locations in Pembroke, MA and Avon, MA and Warwick Rhode Island, also former Christmas Tree Shops locations this fall, as well as in Holmdel, NJ. New stores in Pottstown, PA and St. Alban’s, VT will open before year’s end.
