Ocean State Job Lot Celebrates Grand Opening of Pembroke Store with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Speaking Program
Grand opening festivities continue with family-friendly activities and giveaways on Saturday, October 19th.
Pembroke, MA – (October 17, 2024) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) is pleased to announce the opening of its 51st store in Massachusetts, located at 295 Old Oak Street in Pembroke. The newest OSJL location breathes new life into the former Christmas Tree Shops space, offering 31,000 square feet of revitalized retail space and creating new job opportunities for the community.
Yesterday, OSJL hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and speaking program, to celebrate the grand opening of its Pembroke, MA store, featuring local elected officials from Pembroke and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Attendees included Massachusetts State Representative Mathew Muratore, Pembroke Selectboard Chair Tracy Marino, Town Manager William Chenard, OSJL Chief Marketing Officer Curtis Corl, and OSJL’s Pembroke Store Team Leader Gregory Noyes.
As part of its commitment to the communities in which it does business, OSJL is making charitable donations to two Pembroke-based organizations through the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. The Firehouse Pantry in Pembroke will receive non-perishable food items to help support its mission to assist veterans and residents facing hunger. Additionally, the American Legion of Pembroke (Post 143) will receive a donation of warm winter coats to help underserved veterans and their families stay warm during the colder months.
On Saturday, October 19th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., OSJL will continue the grand opening festivities with complimentary coffee and donuts, and henna temporary tattoos and face painting for children. Guests who are Job Lot Insiders that make a purchase during the event will also have the opportunity to win giveaway items valued at over $1,000. DJs from Easy 99.1 WPLM will be on-site from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. playing tunes and doing giveaways to add to the fun atmosphere.
