Ocean State Job Lot Launches “Building Brighter Futures” Fundraising Campaign to Help Children in Need
Customers invited to donate at each of OSJL’s 153 stores across the Northeast and online; 100% of all donations directed to local organizations that help children in need
North Kingstown, RI – (February 29, 2024) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), the region’s premier discount retail chain with 153 stores across the Northeast, is pleased to announce its third annual “Building Brighter Futures” fundraising campaign to help children in need throughout the region.
During the ongoing campaign, OSJL will collect customer donations at each of its stores’ checkout registers and on its website, to directly support local organizations in the Northeast that help children struggling with food insecurity, barriers to resources like clothing, and a range of mental health and developmental challenges. One hundred percent of every dollar collected during the campaign will go towards these efforts. Since the campaign’s inception in 2022, the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation has raised over $1 million to help underserved children.
“Children in our country shouldn’t be facing food insecurity, inaccessibility to healthcare, and other basic necessities, but that is the reality today,” said David Sarlitto, Executive Director, Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation. “Through this campaign, we hope to again make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve with the help of our customers, partners, and associates to improve the lives of children facing hardships.”
