Ocean State Job Lot Celebrates Grand Opening of St. Albans Town, VT Store
Elected Officials and OSJL Representatives Mark the Opening of the State’s Fourth Store in Vermont; First in Franklin County
St. Albans Town, VT – (December 14, 2024) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), a premier discount retail chain with 159 stores across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, proudly celebrated the grand opening of its newest location in St. Albans Town, VT, on Saturday, December 14th. Located at 200 Highgate Road in the Highgate Commons Shopping Center, this 31,000-square-foot store is OSJL’s fourth location in Vermont and its first in Franklin County.
The celebration began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring St. Albans Town Manager Sean Adkins, Commander Gary Godin of the American Legion Green Mountain Post 1, and OSJL representatives, including Chief Marketing Officer Curtis Corl, District Team Leader Maridee Serebrov, and Store Team Leader Kristine Stanley.
As part of its ongoing “Close to Our Heart” initiative, the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation donated 50 warm winter coats to the American Legion Green Mountain Post 1 to support local veterans and their families.

The day’s festivities included complimentary photos with Santa, Ben & Jerry’s hot chocolate with ice cream for the first 200 attendees, a face painting station for families, and a live broadcast from WOKO-FM. Attendees also participated in raffles and signed a community banner to mark the occasion. The event underscored OSJL’s commitment to community engagement while highlighting its expansive inventory of household goods, apparel, seasonal items, and more at unbeatable prices. This opening continues OSJL’s rapid growth, following recent store openings in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, with more to come.
