Ocean State Job Lot Celebrates Grand Opening of Seaford, DE Store
OSJL repurposes former Big Lots site as part of multi-state expansion
North Kingstown, RI – (June 14, 2025) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), the region’s premier discount retail chain with 175 stores across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, celebrated the grand opening of its newest Delaware store at 900 Norman Eskridge Highway in Seaford this morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Company also celebrated the opening of its Elkton, MD store this afternoon.
The 36,000 sq. ft. location is one of 17 former Big Lots properties OSJL has acquired and revitalized this year as part of its continued expansion across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
The ceremony featured remarks from OSJL Director of Communications Lynn Hall, OSJL Communications Specialist Beth Mainville, and Trisha Newcomer, Director of Economic Development & Community Relations for the City of Seaford. The company also presented a charitable donation through its “Close to Our Heart” program, of 250 backpacks to the Western Sussex Boys & Girls Club. Executive Director Jermane Duncan accepted the donation on behalf of the organization.
