Ocean State Job Lot Celebrates Grand Opening of Relocated Seekonk, MA Store with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Newly relocated store takes over vacant Bed Bath & Beyond space at 35 Highland Avenue/Route 6

North Kingstown, Rhode Island – (November 29, 2023) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) today celebrated the grand opening of its new Seekonk, MA store in the formerly vacant Bed Bath & Beyond space at 35 Highland Avenue/Route 6.  The plaza, purchased by OSJL, also includes Chipotle, Harbor Freight Tools, Petco, Mattress Firm, and JOANN Fabric and Crafts.

OSJL’s Principal Owner and CEO, Marc Perlman, alongside Co-owner and CFO John D. Conforti, and Chief Marketing Officer Curtis Corl, gathered with officials from the Town of Seekonk including Town Clerk Michelle Hines and Selectman Justin Sullivan, for a ribbon cutting ceremony. Selectman Sullivan presented OSJL with a proclamation on behalf of the Town of Seekonk during the ceremony, and Legislative Aide to Representative Steven Howitt, Natalie Rubin, recognized the occasion with a citation following the event.

“For over two decades, Seekonk has been our home, and this new store stands as a testament to our continuous effort to evolve and innovate the customer experience,” said Marc Perlman, Principal Owner and CEO, Ocean State Job Lot. “Our decision to relocate was driven by our desire to provide our customers with a better shopping experience while continuing to provide quality products and exceptional customer service in this new and improved location.”

The original Seekonk OSJL store at 150 Highland Avenue/Route 6 opened on November 16, 1999. The new location combines the Bed Bath & Beyond space as well as a portion of the former Golfsmith store to provide 29,844 square feet of shopping space, an increase of more than 10,000 square feet from the original store. The bigger, brighter shopping experience offers customers an improved layout as well as additional parking.
