Ocean State Job Lot Purchases Cumberland Crossing Shopping Center in North Attleborough; Announces New Store in Q2 2025
51,074 sq. ft. store will be OSJL’s 53rd in Massachusetts; 8th in Bristol County
North Kingstown, RI – (December 17, 2024) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), a premier discount retail chain with 159 stores across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, is pleased to announce the purchase of the Cumberland Crossing shopping center, located at 1505 South Washington Street in North Attleborough, MA, and its plans to open a new store in the former Christmas Tree Shops location in the shopping center in the second quarter of 2025.
This will mark OSJL’s 53rd store in Massachusetts and its eighth in Bristol County. Plaza co-tenants include Altitude Trampoline Park, Guitar Center, Planet Fitness, Play It Again Sports, David’s Bridal, and FedEx. The nearest OSJL locations are in Pawtucket, RI (7.1 miles) and Lincoln, RI (9.6 miles).
The 51,074 square-foot store will occupy a space previously home to Christmas Tree Shops, continuing OSJL’s strategic repurposing of former retail sites. This location represents the company’s sixth reuse of Christmas Tree Shops properties, joining locations in Avon, MA; Pembroke, MA; Augusta, ME; Warwick, RI; and the Town of St. Albans, VT.
