Ocean State Job Lot to Open New Store in St. Albans, VT in Fall 2024
31,000 sq. ft. store is OSJL’s fourth in Vermont and first in Franklin County
North Kingstown, RI – (August 13, 2024) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), the region’s premier discount retail chain with 153 stores across the Northeast, is pleased to announce it will open a new store in the town of St. Albans, Vermont in late fall 2024. The new location, one of the chain’s northernmost, will be the fourth store in the Green Mountain State and the first in Franklin County.
Located at 182 & 200 Highgate Road in St. Albans Town within the Highgate Commons Shopping Center, the leased location will provide 31,000 square feet of convenient shopping space for customers. The store will be located within the space previously vacated by Peebles. Plaza co-tenants include Hannaford supermarket and T.J. Maxx. Currently, the closest OSJL locations are in St. Johnsbury and Rutland.

OSJL will hire for approximately 50 positions, including store leadership; supervisory; and full-time, part-time and seasonal associates.
