Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation Partners with Sid Wainer & Son/Chefs’ Warehouse and Performance Food Group to Deliver Fresh Produce to Groveton/Northumberland, NH Following Devastating Floods
Stores in Northumberland and St. Johnsbury, VT, to offer 30% discount on all food items
North Kingstown, RI – (August 12, 2024) – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), a leading regional discount retail chain with 153 stores across the Northeast, is pleased to announce that the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation (OSJLCF) and its partners have taken immediate action to support the communities in New Hampshire affected by recent flooding from Hurricane Debby’s remnants. Early in the morning on Saturday, August 10th, the OSJLCF delivered an OSJL trailer filled with 40,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to Groveton/Northumberland, NH, to aid those who were impacted.
OSJLCF partnered with Sid Wainer & Son/Chefs’ Warehouse, based in New Bedford, MA, and Performance Food Group from Taunton, MA, to provide the fresh produce. On Saturday, August 10th, the produce was distributed to the community at a free food market across from Groveton High School, providing those in need with fresh and healthy food during this challenging time.
